St Dwynwen’s Day
St Dwynwen was a fourth-century Welsh princess who lived in what is now the Brecon Beacons National Park. Dwynwen was unlucky in love, so she became a nun and prayed for true lovers to have better luck than she did.
St Dwynwen’s Day is celebrated every year on the 25th January, where loved ones exchange cards and gifts, take time out & have special meals.
